About our Woodwind Lessons for Kids
Creative Melodies instructors teach a variety of woodwind instruments, including:

We believe learning an instrument should be challenging and fun! We team up with students' families to:

Encourage regular practice to instill the necessary discipline and habits to help each student excel in their learning.

Read and play music as well as to create their own compositions.

Cultivate a passion for music and an excitement to learn!
Beginning Lessons for Kids and Adults
From putting your instrument together to learning the basics of music, our students start learning at the first lesson!

Beginner students learn how to correctly put their instruments together and care for them.

We will first get a sound (perhaps not the most pleasant) out of the instrument, and then work towards a beautiful tone.

For our younger ones, we incorporate fun music theory games to keep interest and enthusiasm high.

Learning to read music is a top priority!

All instrumentalists are encouraged to listen to professional performers in every genre to train their ears to listen to musicality and quality of tone.

Even our very youngest students participate in recitals to learn to perform in front of others.
Intermediate Lessons for Kids and Adults
For students that have mastered the basics, we continue to foster a positive learning environment.

Lessons will continue to build on the concepts of posture, breathe, tone, and music theory.

In intermediate lessons we focus on correct embouchure placement and work on endurance to play the instrument for longer periods of time.

Students will gain confidence in their abilities to create music of their own.

At this level, we will being working on partnering with an accompanist.
Advanced Lessons for Kids and Adults
Advanced students will be able to choose the intensity of their lessons. Our teachers will work with the student to determine goals and set lesson plans to reach those goals.

Advanced students with obtain a thorough study of the instrument, how it works, and what it can do.

By building on already learned basic music theory, we continue to master complex theory concepts and musicianship.

Our teachers can help advanced students study multiple genres of music.

Our teachers can help you prep for an audition or performance, learn a new type of style, or just continue your music education so you can enjoy playing your instrument!
